The Desolation

Also known as Asag, the Lightless Flame, the Blackened Earth, and the Ravening Burn, the Desolation is an inherently violent fear displayed within the Magnus Archives' statements.

Its focus on destruction of personal things (both physical objects and emotional connections) including one's own body lead to some particularly jolting phrasings in the show. I feel like it didn't get as many appearances or focus as some of the other topics in the show, but when it was on screen it never ended up being boring.

For this artwork I made two poster-type renders. The first is a stylized bonfire engulfing a figure, with just the title of the entity. The latter is in the other images on the post, an advert for the Desolation's apartment.
