Hollow Knight - Fungal Wastes

Fungal Wastes - Noxious caverns filled with spores. Unlike the bug inhabitants of the rest of Hallownest, the inhabitants of the Wastes are mushroom-like in physicality. It holds the Mantis Village to the south, and the main entrance of City of Tears to the east.

"Ahh my short friend, you've caught me at the perfect time. I'm just about finished charting these noxious caverns... Very territorial types make their homes within this area. I'd suggest avoiding them where possible... Further below some strange thin creatures gave me quite a scare. They seemed an intelligent bunch... In my youth I'd have braved their caves but I fear my matured physique wouldn't be able to outrun them where they to turn violent."

This area was pretty fun to model. In the end, the Shrume enemies and the Mantis Lords were quite difficult to model, since the models in the game have so much depth and detail.
